History Blog

This is my history blog for Mr. Boyle's G period class. There you have it. I have been keeping this blog since whenever school kinda started back up again. I don't really know when but it was after marching band started up again. Anyway, I looked back on all of the posts that I have been doing for about half a minute today and realized that all of these are terribly boring. So I think I'll add some fun stuff in.

Post About Classwork (Every Two Cycle Days)

December 21, 2012 and January 2, 2013

So... it has been a while but I will try to remember what we did way back before vacation started. Oh yes. On the 21st we watched a video. (I remember because I had to leave early to set up my trombone.) We watched part of a movie on the Civil War. It was interesting because it depicted both sides very closely that way you could see what each side was really fighting for. I liked being able to see how each side justified themselves.

On the 2nd, we walked in to a giant picture on the board. We ended up finding out if that it was the 100th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. The picture showed people waiting to see the document itself. We read about it and watched a short clip also. Then we filled out a worksheet to get our brains going and sparked a discussion on it. We talked about what it said very specifically but also whether or not it was effective at all. We reached a lot of different conclusions and it got all of us thinking again (School Mode: On.

Until next time!
