History Blog

This is my history blog for Mr. Boyle's G period class. There you have it. I have been keeping this blog since whenever school kinda started back up again. I don't really know when but it was after marching band started up again. Anyway, I looked back on all of the posts that I have been doing for about half a minute today and realized that all of these are terribly boring. So I think I'll add some fun stuff in.

Post About Classwork (Every Two Cycle Days)

January 8, 2013 and January 9, 2013

On the 8th, we took notes the end of the American Civil War. We talked about how much the battles of Gettysburg and Vicksburg affected the outcome of the war and that they really were the turning point. After those two battles, everything went downhill for the Confederates and I mean in a landslide. Lee was quickly forced to abandon Petersburg and try to join up with other forces but eventually he just surrendered to U. S. Grant because the Confederates simply couldn't continue. The two opposing sides met at Appomattox Court House, VA to discuss the Confederate terms of surrender. The United States was whole once again.

On the 9th, we took our Civil War test.

Until next time!
